IGADI YE-OLIVA is the translated Xhosa name for "Olive garden" the first name of the olive oil, we considered the translation after knowing that "olivegarden"was already a trademark name. With the support from a teacher from the UCT a new name was born...

The Estate situated in the superb meander off the klaasvoogd river, Western Cape the main house dating back to the 18th century where they growed vines and fruit.

After bad harvests in 1998 the previous owners changed vines into Olive trees. In 2005 the Belgian family Ferdinand and Gina with 3 healthy teenagers both the farm and transformed the whole farm 117 ha into a boutique olive estate and renovated the existing cottages into an upmarket 4* country lodge. Today the Estate breath a different breeze, the green fingers off Ferdinand & Gina has changed the whole farming method. Today is there only place for organic, bio energetic and environmental friendly farming. The farm organic in conversion No chemicals are used in the farming process it produces his own compost and extract for feeding the trees. The exceptional Klaasvoogd soil- food and love is the taste off the unique Igadi's extra virgin olive oil.

IGADI YE-OLIVA (Olive Garden) the name gives the oil a new dimension in the journey off balance with pure flavours given by mother earth gentle and soft. Extra virgin olive oil is the essence of nature themselve.The oil has an extraordinary antioxidant and polyphenolic content that makes them a natural antagonist of cancer and heart disease, yet they are the gourmet delight.
